How to enter

  • Download and fill out the Poster Contest entry form. (All entry forms must be signed by a parent or guardian of the contestant).

  • Bring the completed entry form and the contestant's poster to the Global March booth at the East Atlanta Strut between 11am-12:30 pm.  A digital photo will be taken of the poster for entry into the contest. Then, a number will be attached to the back of your poster. (Please keep this number on your poster throughout the march). 

  • Proceed to the meeting point of the march by 1:30pm, where our group will organize itself prior to the parade's lineup. We will meet at: Patterson Avenue SE near Metropolitan Avenue SE.

Awards

$100 to one overall individual winner

$50 to a winner in each one of the following categories:

 

  • K-2nd grade      

  • 3rd-5th grade   

  • Middle school

  • High School


In addition, $250 will be donated to the art department of a public school, or the 501(c) (3) non-profit group with the most entries.

The contest winners will be announced in front of our booth at the East Atlanta Strut Festival, immediately following the march (the exact location of the booth will be posted online the day of the march). Contestants must participate in the march and be present at the time of the announcement in order to be eligible to receive the award prize.
